Understand what's going on with your knee

Dealing with a knee injury or pain can be stressful. From numerous appointments, opinions and not being sure where to start or who to trust, the whole process can add to the frustration of being injured and unable to do your normal activities.

Whether you had an epic yard sale crash or you’re dealing with nagging knee pain, we’ll guide you through every step of the recovery journey with treatments, education and bracing.

Services

Our certified athletic therapist combines specialized knowledge with hands-on care to help you recover from new and ongoing knee injuries—like ACL tears, sprains, osteoarthritis and post-surgical rehab—while preventing future problems.

Athletic Therapy

With a special focus on knees

An athletic therapist is a university educated health professional that focuses on the treatment, prevention, assessment, and active rehabilitation of muscle, bone, ligament, tendon and joint injuries.

All of our sessions are one-on-one and customized for your injury or issue.

While we still offer appointments for non-knee related injuries or issues, there is limited availability.

Custom Knee Bracing

For stability and pain relief

When it comes to keeping your knees stable and pain-free, the right brace can make all the difference.

We offer custom knee bracing solutions to match your activity level and needs. Our comprehensive fitting process ensures you get the best brace for skiing, biking, or simply staying active day-to-day.

  • DonJoy Custom Knee Braces: For ACL, MCL, LCL, PCL injuries
  • Knee “Unloader” Braces: For osteoarthritis, cartilage or meniscus injuries

I saw Heather years ago to address low back pain so I could get back to doing activities I love. For the first time in a long history of low back pain, Heather managed to get me back on track and I’ve had very few back issues for the last 7 years thanks to her! Wish I could have taken her with me when we moved!!

Heather is professional, honest, considerate and knowledgeable in her field of expertise. Her service is definitely the best I have received as an athlete, she’s methodical and strategic when she is assessing patients, and I enjoy how she shares her knowledge and information with her patients to allow us to understand the full picture when it comes to injury recovery and prevention. Her experience as a sports medic, trainer and therapist is phenomenal, especially when she is on the side line at a rugby match. She is but one lady who takes care of about 20-30 athletes at any one time. We need to clone her, we need more therapists like Heather in our community.

I have been seeing Heather for a number of years, whenever my body requires fixing. She has helped me get back to the activities I love. Heather listens and takes the time to understand my fitness objectives and then creates a plan to work on achieving them.

I am a physiotherapist in Fernie and I refer a lot of my patients for knee bracing with Heather. Every single one of my patients comes back ecstatic about the experience they had and the brace they received. Heather is knowledgeable and caring. I can't recommend her enough!

How do I reschedule my appointment?
I don't have a knee injury, can you still help me?

Is it possible to have an appointment outside your regular schedule?

Not usually. If you are very challenged to make adjustments to your schedule and are adamant to see us, you can add yourself to the waitlist with the specific hours selected and a comment about your injury and availability.
